We’re Live!

Categories: Musings and Meditations

It is so exciting to see this new website come to life, giving us so many more opportunities to share the Good News of God’s love for all people with the people of Wooster United Methodist Church and the surrounding community. Indeed, with the Web, we are able to speak and share with folks all around the world, thus expanding both our outreach and our mission field.

Jesus calls us to teach and preach and heal in his name “from Judea and Samaria to the ends of the earth.” This Great Commission is linked to the Great Commandment (to love God and the neighbor) in an interlocked web of responsibility and commitment.

May God fill us with grace as we seek to communicate the message of the Prince of Peace by all means to all peoples that everyone might know that each one of us are unique and prized children of God!

“The pastor is primarily the theologian-in-residence in the local church. I understand theology as both a noun and a verb. Literally the word means “God talk,” and because talk about God demands action before it is complete and authentic, it seems to me that real theology must be done as well as spoken, acted upon as well as thought out, and expressed in written and oral forms."
